Sinabi ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III na walang Pinoy na naiulat na nasawi o nasaktan sa nangyayaring sagupaan ng Israeli Defense Forces at Hamas militants sa Gaza Strip.
"There was no one hurt or injured among our Overseas Filipino Workers there," sabi ni Bello sa Super Radyo dzBB nitong Biyernes.
Ayon sa kalihim, isang OFW lang ang humingi ng tulong sa Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) matapos muntik tamaan ng bomba ang bahay ng kaniyang amo.

"She got afraid due to the incident, and she has since been transferred to our POLO office's shelter," paliwanag ni Bello.
Sinabi pa ng opisyal na mayroon nang rapid rescue team sa lugar sakaling lumubha pa ang sitwasyon doon.
"This is in coordination with the Department of Foreign Affairs because it is them who makes the call on alert level," ayon kay Bello.
"If it reaches Alert Level 4, then that means forced repatriation. They (Filipinos) will have to repatriated whether they like it or not," saad niya.
Sa ngayon, wala pa umanong pangangailangan na ilikas ang mga Pinoy na tinatayang nasa 30,000 sa Israel. --FRJ, GMA News
