Inihayag ni Pangulong Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. sa Pinoy community na nakausap niya sa Washington, USA, nitong Martes (Manila time), ang hangarin niya na sa Pilipinas magreretiro ang mga kababayan na nasa abroad.
Nasa Amerika ngayon si Marcos para sa limang araw na official visit para palakasin ang relasyon ng dalawang bansa.
"It’s my hope that some of you will come home for good and retire in a much better Philippines — a Philippines with better airports, Philippines with better roads, better airports, better internet, better governance. ‘Yun ang aking pinapangarap," pahayag ni Marcos sa kaniyang talumpati.
"And that’s why that is what my administration is working for," dagdag niya.
Ayon kay Marcos, prayoridad ng kaniyang administrasyon ang pangalagaan ang kapakanan ng mga Filipino na nasa ibang bansa.

"We are strongly committed to pursue the third pillar of our foreign policy, which is assistance to Filipino nationals," ani Marcos.
Hinikayat din ng pangulo ang mga anak at apo ng mga Filipino na naninirahan sa Amerika na pumunta at bisitahin ang Pilipinas.
"Let them see for themselves what the Philippines is about, what is our culture, what is our history. I’m sure the first and second and third generation Filipino-Americans are more than happy to learn about their proud Philippine ancestry," sabi ni Marcos.
"Sooner or later, we will be able to welcome you back home to the Philippines, especially those who have reacquired their Filipino citizenship," patuloy niya.
