Muling nagbabalik sa Pilipinas ang American singer na si David Archuleta, na sinabing dama niya ang mainit na pagtanggap sa kaniya ng mga Pinoy.
"I miss the Pinoy Archies (fans) and the Pinoys, the people, the culture, the food. I feel like the Philippines is so good in making people feel at home and feel welcome," sabi ni David sa Unang Hirit nitong Huwebes.
""I've been waiting six long years to come back, there's the whole pandemic and everything that happened," pagpapatuloy niya.
Ayon kay David, na kilala sa kaniyang hits na "Crush" at "A Little Too Not Over You," pakiramdam niya na naka-relate rin siya sa mga Pinoy.
"When I come here, not only are they big fans of 'American Idol,' the songs I have released. But I feel like we act the same," sabi niya.
Sinabi pa ni David na napamahal na siya sa kultura ng Pilipinas, at pakiramdam niyang tila isa na rin siyang Pinoy.
"Oh my gosh, when I come I'm like, I see myself so much in the Filipino culture, so I'm like, oh my gosh, am I Filipino?" biro niya.
"Everyone thought so. I just feel so a part of everyone here, and they're a part of my life now," dagdag niya.
Inaabangan ni David ang pagkain ng mga Pinoy food gaya ng mangga, sisig, pancit, bangus at adobo.
Nakatakdang magtanghal si David sa kaniyang "Playback Presents: The Best of David Archuleta Live in Manila," sa New Frontier Theater sa Setyembre 14.
Runner up si David sa "American Idol" Season 7, at nauna nang bumisita sa bansa para sa isang fundraising concert noong 2018.
