Inilarawan ni Pangulong Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. na "it's complicated," ang relasyon niya sa pamilya Duterte, sa harap na rin ng mga puna at batikos sa kaniya ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Gayunman, sinabi ni Marcos na hindi nagbabago ang relasyon nila ng kaniyang bise presidente na si Sara Duterte, mula noong kampanya ng 2022 elections.
"The one, of course, that I have the most contact with is Inday Sara and how we're with each other during the campaign. After the election, it hasn’t really changed," pahayag ni Marcos sa 50th Anniversary Presidential Forum ng Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines nitong Lunes.
"That’s what she always says. I said, 'Oh, are you all right na you’re in the middle of all of these?' She says, 'No, I’ll just work. Don’t worry about it. I’ll just work and work and work and work.' That's her attitude,'" ayon sa pangulo.
Nitong Linggo sa isang pagtitipon sa Tagum, Davao del Norte, muling inakusahan ng nakatatandang Duterte na nais ni Marcos na magtagal sa posisyon sa pamamagitan ng isinusulong na Charter change.
