- Bacolod City: no face-to-face classes, preschool to senior high school, public and private
- Iloilo City: no face-to-face classes, preschool to senior high school, public and private, until April 2
- Roxas, Capiz: no face-to-face classes, preschool to senior high school, public and private
- Kabankalan, Negros Occidental: no classes in all levels, public and private
- E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental: no face-to-face classes in all levels, public and private, until April 2
- Tantangan, South Cotabato: half-day classes for April 1 to 15 in all levels, public and private.
Una rito, inihayag ng Department of Education na maaaring suspendihin ng mga pinuno ng paaralan ang kanilang face-to-face classes kung matindi ang init ng panahon sa kanilang lugar dahil sa El Niño phenomenon.
“Since they are the school managers, meron silang ganoong authority na naibigay sa kanila at ine-expect natin that they will exercise very wise discretion when it comes to suspension of classes, including ‘yung pagbibigay ng mga intervention activities for lost hours,” ayon kay DepEd Assistant Secretary Francis Bringas sa isang panayam ng Unang Balita.
