Natagpuan na ang dalawang lalaking environmental activists na iniulat na nawawala makaraang dukutin sa San Carlos City, Pangasinan.
“Environmental rights defenders and church workers Francisco 'Eco' Dangla III and Joxelle 'Jak' Tiong are no longer in the hands of their abductors, bruised but alive,” ayon sa inilabas na pahayag ng isang fact-finding team na binuo ng isang progressive groups nitong Huwebes.
Dagdag nito, “While they are still reeling from their harrowing ordeal, we hope that in due time, Eco and Jak will be able to fully recount the details of their abduction and subsequent release. Their captors should desist from making any attempts to further harass them.”
Sakay umano ng tricycle ang dalawa noong 8:00 pm ng March 24, Linggo, nang sapilitan silang isakay sa isang sasakyan ng mga suspek sa Barangay Polo.
Nagpasalamat ang fact-finding team sa mga nakiisa sa panawagan na palayain sina Dangla and Tiong. Una rito, nanawagan din ang Commission on Human Rights sa mga awtoridad na hanapin ang dalawa.
“To Eco and Jak and their families, we stand steadfast in solidarity throughout this difficult period. We are one with them in their demand for justice,” ayon sa fact-finding team, na iginiit na dapat managot ang mga dumukot sa mga biktima.
