Pumanaw sa edad na 59 ngayong Biyernes si retired Police General Camilo Pancratius Pascua Cascolan, na dating hepe ng Philippine National Police (PNP), at kasalukuyang Undersecretary ng Department of Health (DOJ).

Sa post ng kaniyang anak na si Jiro sa Facebook, sinabing binawian ng buhay ang dating PNP chief dakong 5:28 p.m. nitong Friday, November 24, 2023, habang nakapaligid ang kaniyang pamilya.

"My dad dedicated his life to serving and protecting our country as a man of service for 42 years. We will forever remember his unwavering dedication to his duty, his selflessness, and his love for his family," ayon kay Jiro.

"His loss leaves a void that can never be filled, but we find solace in knowing that his memory will live on through the countless lives he touched. He will forever remain in our hearts as a shining example of courage, dedication, and love," dagdag nito.

Hindi binanggit kung ano ang dahilan ng pagpanaw ng retiradong heneral.

Nagsilbing pinuno ng PNP si Cascolan noong September 2 hanggang November 10, 2020 sa ilalim ng administrasyong Duterte.

Itinalaga naman siyang Undersecretary of the Office of the President noong February 2021, at naging Undersecretary ng Department of Health nitong October 2022 sa ilalim ng administrasyong Marcos.—FRJ, GMA Integrated News
