Idineklara ni Pangulong Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. na special non-working day ang October 30, 2023 sa buong bansa para sa gaganaping Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).
Nakapaloob ang deklarasyon sa Proclamation No. 359 na may petsang October 9, 2023.
"Whereas, it is imperative that the people be given the full opportunity to participate in the said elections and exercise their right of suffrage," sabi ni Marcos sa proclamation, patungkol sa 2023 BSKE.
"Now, therefore, I, Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, 30 October 2023, as a special (non-working) day throughout the country," dagdag niya. --FRJ, GMA Integrated News
