Ipapamahagi na ng Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) sa susunod na linggo ang P6,500 fuel subsidies sa mga drayber at operator ng public utility vehicles (PUV).
Magagawa na ito matapos na ilabas na umano ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ang pondo sa LTFRB.
“We confirm that the funds have already been released by the DBM and the LTFRB will start distributing next week,” ayon kay LTFRB executive director Tina Cassion.
Sinabi ni Budget officer-in-charge Undersecretary Tina Rose Canda na inilabas na ng DBM ang P2.5 bilyon pondo bilang fuel subsidies sa public transport utility at at P500 milyon naman sa subsidiya sa agriculture sector.
Nasa 377,000 ang kalipikado sa fuel subsidies na kinabibilangan ng PUV drivers na operator din ng jeepneys, UV express, taxis, tricycles, at iba pang full-time ride-hailing at delivery services sa bansa.
Samantala, ang Department of Agriculture naman ang mamamahala sa P500 milyon pondo bilang suporta sa mga magsasaka at mangingisda.
Sinabi ni Cassion na mag-uusap sa Biyernes ang LTFRB at Land Bank of the Philippines para alamin ang eksaktong petsa kung kailan ilalabas ang P6,500 fuel subsidies.
Muling naglabas ang pamahalaan ng fuel subsidies dahil sa sunod-sunod na pagtaas ng presyo ng produktong petrolyo.
