Inihayag ni Commission on Election (Comelec) Commissioner Aimee Ferolino na nais siyang impluwensiyahan ni Commissioner Rowena Guanzon kaugnay sa ponente o pagsulat ng desisyon sa disqualification case na kinakaharap ni presidential aspirant Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Sa sulat ni Ferolino na ipinadala niya kay Comelec chair Sheriff Abas, at may nagpadala ng kopya kay GMA News' Joseph Morong, itinanggi ni Ferolino ang alegasyon ni Guanzon na inaantala niya ang paggawa ng ponente sa resolusyon sa kasong pagdiskuwalipika kayMarcos.
Dahil umano sa pagsiwalat ni Guanzon na siya ang magsusulat ng desisyon, sinabi ni Ferolino na posibleng naging bukas siya sa mga pressure mula sa iba't ibang personalidad at organisasyon.
Itinanggi rin niya na may internal timeline sila sa First division para magpasya sa kaso ni Marcos.
"In all honesty Chair, it was not only the date of the promulgation that she imposed upon me. She also consistently took liberties in telling me to adopt her opinion," sabi ni Ferolino sa sulat kay Abas.
"It is quite appalling that Commissioner Guanzon was able to draft an opinion when the Ponencia has not yet submitted the resolution and all the case records are in my possession," patuloy niya.
Ayon pa kay Ferolino, naglabas ng memorandum si Guanzon na nagsasaad na isama ang kaniyang separate opinion sa resolusyon na hindi pa nailalabas.
"The Presiding Commissioner of the First division is putting the cart before the horse to justify her demands. I doing so, one things is clear to me, she is trying to influence my decision and trying hard to persuade me to her direction," ani Ferolino.
"But I am not like her, not even close. I did not read her separate opinion as I do not want my judgment to be influenced by her opinion nor other people's opinion," dagdag niya.
Nang hingan ng reaksiyon sa pahayag ni Ferolino, iginiit ni Guanzon na dapat ilabas na ang resolusyon sa disqualification case ni Marcos.
"Ilalabas na po ba ninyo Commissioner Ferolino ang inyong resolusyon, ang ponencia bago ako mag-retire?" ani Guanzon, na nakatakdang magretiro sa susunod na linggo.
"Kasi 'yun lang naman ang pinagdidiskusyunan natin dito eh. Kung nilabas mo na 'yan eh di wala na sana tayong pinag-uusapan dito," sabi pa ni Guanzon, na isiniwalat na para sa diskuwalipikasyon ni Marcos ang kaniyang boto.
Sa Twitter, sinabi ni Guanzon, "She has time to write a reply to the Chair but not the resolution/decision."
