Nananatiling malakas ang bagyong "Odette" matapos tumama sa kalupaan ng Southern Leyte nitong Huwebes ng hapon. Walong lugar din sa Visayas at Mindanao ang isinailalim sa Signal No. 4.

Sa inilabas na 5 p.m. weather bulletin ng PAGASA, sinabing ang mata ng bagyo ay nasa Liloan, Southern Leyte. Taglay nito ang pinakamalakas na hangin na 195 kilometers per hour malapit sa gitna, at pagbugso na hanggang 270 km per hour.

Kumikilos ito pa-westward sa bilis na 30 kph.

Unang nag-landfall ang bagyo sa Siargao Island sa Surigao del Norte, dakong 1:30 pm nitong Huwebes. Sumunod naman sa Dinagat Islands.

Ayon sa PAGASA, asahan sa Huwebes at Biyernes ng umaga ang matinding pag-ulan sa Caraga, Central Visayas, Misamis Oriental, Camiguin, Southern Leyte, at Negros Occidental. Samantalang moderate to heavy with, at times, intense rains ang mararanasan sa Leyte, southern portions ng Eastern Samar and Samar, Zamboanga del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, at rest of Northern Mindanao.

Idinagdag ng ahensiya na light to moderate with, at times, heavy rains naman ang mararanasan sa Bicol Region, Quezon, the rest of Visayas, the rest of Zamboanga Peninsula, at mainland Bangsamoro.

Sa Biyernes ng umaga hanggang Sabado ng umaga, sinabi ng PAGASA na heavy to intense with, at times, torrential rains ang mararanasan sa Central Visayas, Western Visayas, at Palawan, pati sa Calamian Islands, Cuyo, at Cagayancillo Islands. Samantalang moderate to heavy with, at times, intense rains ang iiral sa Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Quezon, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Marinduque, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, and the rest of Visayas.

Idinagdag ng PAGASA na light to moderate with, at times, heavy rains ang mararamdaman sa Caraga, the southern portion of Aurora, at the rest of Northern Mindanao.

Sa Sabado ng umaga hanggang Linggo ng umaga, makararanas ang Kalayaan Islands ng heavy to torrential rains,  habang sa Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, mainland Palawan at Calamian Islands ay have light to moderate with, at times, heavy rains ang mararanasan.

"Under these conditions, scattered to widespread flooding (including flash floods) and rain-induced landslides are expected especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazard as identified in hazard maps, and in localities with significant antecedent rainfall," babala ng PAGASA.

Bukod sa peligro ng pagbaha, malakas na hangin at pagguho ng lupa, nagbabala ang PAGASA ng moderate to high risk ng storm surge ng hanggang 3.0 meters sa mga mabababang coastal areas sa Central Visayas, Iloilo, Guimaras, Negros Occidental, Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, at ilang localities sa northern portion ng Palawan kasama ang Calamian, Cuyo at Cagayancillo Islands, Antique, southern portions ng Samar at Eastern Samar, Leyte, at Misamis Oriental.
