Natigil pansamantala ang operasyon ng paliparan sa Austin, Texas nang masawi ang isang lalaki matapos na mahagip sa runway ng isang lumapag na eroplano.
Sa Twitter post ng Austin-Bergstrom International Airport sa Texas, sinabing naganap ang insidente sa runway 17R nitong Huwebes ng gabi.
Inilarawan naman ng emergency officials na "adult" ang biktima na nakita sa runway. Sa ilang online news website, sinabing lalaki ang nasawi.
“According to initial information, Southwest Airlines Flight 1392 reported to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport that they saw an unauthorized individual on runway 17-Right, after their aircraft (a Boeing 737) touched down at 8:12 p.m. Central Time on Thursday,” ayon sa pamunuan ng paliparan.
Sa isa pang post, sinabing nagbalik na umano ang operasyon sa paliparan matapos ang isinagawang imbestigasyon sa "crime scene."
"The crime scene has been cleared and maintenance is preparing the runway to reopen. Operations will resume as normal and AUS will continue to work closely with APD on the ongoing investigation. No additional available information is available at this time," saad sa post.

Sa ulat naman ng Reuters, sinabing ang Austin Police Department (APD) ang nanguna sa imbestigasyon, at kasama ang Federal Aviation Administration.
