“I pulled out some money to do some housework and then went to the bank and came back and put the money on the countertop,” sabi ni Clayton, may-ari ng nasirang pera.

“What seemed like 30-ish minutes and I came back and then I just saw him basically standing over this pile of money that had been eaten and torn apart and shredded and the envelope was totally gone. So I was just kind of in shock,” sabi ni Clayton.

“Basically there was some money that was like not really touched, it was salvageable. But then a lot of money was inside of him so we basically just had to figure out what to do next,” sabi ni Clayton.

“We were able to recover, you know, enough and the first. So it was the same day at 2 a.m. is when he first, like, threw up, like the first amount and I realized ‘Hey there’s some money in here,’” sabi ni Clayton.

“We also called our bank and asked them what they suggested and kind of explained the situation. They said this actually happens from time to time, that dogs are really attracted to that smell and so if we are able to bring in bills that had most of the serial number from the left and right of the bill, they would be able to replace those,” sabi ni Carrie.

“He’s a sweet dog and I guess all dogs kind of have their day but yeah, never anything like this,” sabi ni Carrie. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
