Inaprubahan ni Philippine National Police chief General Debold Sinas ang rekomendasyon na alisin sa kani-kanilang puwesto ang hepe ng Makati Police, ang Southern Police District medico-legal officer, at dalawang imbestigador dahil sa kapabayaan umano sa kaso ni Christine Dacera case.
"Three things I have already discussed kay [National Capital Region Police Office acting director Police Brigadier General Vicente Danao Jr.] the following recommendations I have approved. First, of course, is to relieve the chief of police for command responsibility and he will be replaced later on the recommendation of the [regional director] of the NCRPO,” sabi ni Sinas sa mga mamamahayag nitong Miyerkules.
“Second, the relief and investigation of the two investigators na involved doon and the investigation determining kung mayroong lapses and negligence ‘yong medico-legal or SOCO team ng SPD,” dagdag niya.
Ayon kay Sinas, pansamantalang inalis sa kani-kanilang puwesto ang apat habang isinasagawa ang internal investigation.
“However as the [Special Investigation Task Group)] and the RD of the NCRPO might need their services ay kasama pa po sila doon for the smooth transfer of documents, evidence and others,” paliwanag ni Sinas.
Gayunman, sinabi ni Sinas na ang hepe ng NCRPO ang bahalang magpasya kung kailan ipatutupad ang naturang rekomendasyon.
“It’s just a recommendation and I leave that to the RD NCRPO to implement the recommendation which I already approved. It’s up to the RD NCRPO to implement it,” anang hepe ng kapulisan.
Tanghali noong Enero 1 nang makita ng mga kaibigan si Dacera, 23-anyos, na hindi humihinga sa bathtub ng kuwarto na kanilang inupahan sa isang hotel sa Makati City matapos magdiwang ng pagsalubong sa Bagong Taon.
Naniniwala ang pamilya ni Dacera na may naganap na krimen sa dalaga, itinanggi naman ito ng kaniyang mga kaibigan na kasama sa hotel.
Nagsasagawa naman ng preliminary investigation ang Makati prosecutor's office upang alamin kung mayroong nangyaring krimen sa pagkamatay ni Dacera.— FRJ, GMA News
