Bilang pabuya sa matagal na pagsasama, inaprubahan ng Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Nueva Vizcaya ang isang ordinansa para bigyan ng P50,000 ang mga kababayan nilang mag-asawa na 50 taon nang kasal.
Nakasaad sa Ordinance 2024-248 o ang “Nueva Vizcaya Enduring Devotion Award Ordinance,” na bukod sa P50,000, bibigyan ang mga mag-asawa ng plaque of recognition at letter of felicitation mula sa kanilang gobernador.

May libre din silang regular medical check-ups sa anomang medical facility na pag-aari o pinamamahalaan ng pamahalaang panlalawigan.

“The Sangguniang Panlalawigan takes high regard of flourishing marriages and recognizes Novo Vizcayano couples who have stood the test of time, challenged their commitment, and are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary, to serve as a paradigm for the emulation of the present and future generations,” nakasaad sa ordinansa.

Susuriin naman ng Provincial Social Welfare Development Officer ang mga mag-asawang posibleng makinabang sa ordinansa.

Ang mga aplikante, dapat magsumite ng kinakailang rekisitos gaya ng mga sumusunod:

  •     PSA copy of their marriage certificate (Certificate of Marriage and Marriage Register from the Local Civil Registry Office for marriages under the Shari’ah Law, and a duly Notarized joint affidavit of two (2) Disinterested members from the Council of Elders for marriages recognized as valid under the Indigenous Peoples Rights Act)
  •     Barangay Council Resolution
  •     Barangay Certificate of Residency
  •     One valid government-issued ID
  •     Birth Certificate of each celebrant from the PSA or Local Registry
  •     Notarized Certificate of Undertaking that there are no pending cases for annulment
  •     NBI Clearance

Samantala ang mga kondisyon para makakuha ng naturang benepisyo:

 

  •     Legally married for 50 years
  •     Both husband and wife must be living upon the effectivity of the ordinance and at the time of submission of requirements
  •     There are no record or complaints with conviction on domestic violence and/or abuse pursuant to RA 9262 or Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act subject to presentation of NBI clearance
  •     The couple lived in Nueva Vizcaya for not less than 10 years at the time of their 50th anniversary
  •     The couple filed for the claim within 6 months of their 50th anniversary or a petition of qualification for celebrants who have exceeded 50 years within one year of the effectivity of the ordinance.

Inihayag din sa ordinansa na "the institutionalization and support of family strengthening and moral recovery programs" implemented by the Social Welfare office and other agencies aimed at "strengthening the family, and resilient families and are geared towards the goal of this ordinance, ensuring that Novo Vizcayano married couples reach and even exceed their 50th year of marriage." —  mula sa ulat ni Jiselle Anne C.
