Isang ahas sa Northern Australia ang natagpuan ng mga park ranger na literal na may "third eye" dahil sa tatlo ang mata nito.
Sa Facebook post ng Northern Territory Parks and Wildlife, makikita ang mga larawan ng ahas na halos hindi makita ang mga mata dahil kakulay na rin ng kaniyang balat.
Pero kung susuriing mabuti ang larawan, mapapansin na nasa bandang ulo ang ikatlong mata ng ahas.
"The three-eyed snake warns The Dry is coming!," saad sa caption ng post. "Our Rangers found a three-eyed snake on the Arnhem Highway near Humpty Doo just out of Darwin. It was a juvenile, approximately 40cm long."
Pambihira umano ang ahas dahil lumitaw sa isinagawang x-ray na isa lang talaga ang ulo nito.
"It was not two separate heads forged together, rather it appeared to be one skull with an additional eye socket and three functioning eyes," saad pa sa post.
"It was generally agreed that the eye likely developed very early during the embryonic stage of development. It is extremely unlikely that this is from environmental factors and is almost certainly a natural occurrence as malformed reptiles are relatively common," ayon sa post.-- FRJ, GMA News
