Iniutos ni Philippine National Police chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar ang mga pulis na tiketan ang mga public utility vehicles (PUVs) na hindi sumusunod sa COVID-19 protocols sa National Capital Region Plus.
Sa Laging Handa public briefing nitong Lunes, sinabi ni Eleazar na hindi noon nag-iisyu ng tiket ang mga pulis sa mga driver ng PUVs na lumalabag sa health protocols.
“Nagbigay na tayo ng direktiba sa Highway Patrol Group pati na rin sa local police na nakabantay sa quarantine control points na tiketan ninyo,” ayon kay Eleazar.
Kabilang sa NCR Plus ang Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna at Rizal.
Ayon sa Eleazar, dapat alam ng mga driver ng PUVs ang kanilang kaparusahan sa hindi pagsunod sa patakaran patungkol sa usapin ng kalusugan laban sa COVID-19.
“This pertains to the reports received by the Directorate (for Operations), which disclosed unabated incidents of overloading, violations of minimum public health standards, and violations of allowed passenger capacity,” batay sa memorandum patungkol sa pag-isyu ng Temporary Operators Permit (TOPs), Official Violator’s Receipt (OVR) at Traffic Citation Tickets.— FRJ, GMA News
