Inihayag ni Billy Crawford ang hirap na pinagdaanan niya sa “Dancing with the Stars,” at umabot siya sa punto na nais na sana niyang umayaw.

“Sa totoo lang, there was a time in my life na kinausap ko nang seryoso ‘yung asawa ko, and I prayed to God so hard na I wanted to quit. Gusto ko nang sumuko dahil hindi ko na kaya. My body couldn't take it anymore,” sabi ni Billy sa "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" nitong Biyernes.

“I tore my thigh, my calf, my back, ‘yung stress, ‘yung competition ng 10 hours of training every single day and competing every Friday. It was an experience but siguro it’s something that hindi ko na kayang gawin,” pagpapatuloy pa ng TV host.

Kinakausap umano ni Billy ang kaniyang kabiyak na si Coleen Garcia sa tuwing pumapasok sa isip niya na sumuko na.

“Umiiyak na ako sa asawa ko, sabi ko ‘Coleen, love magagalit ka ba if I just stop? Uuwi na ako,’” kuwento niya.

Sabi pa ng TV host-actor, "I think it was for God to tell me that I could still do something if I put my mind and my heart into it. Kasi it takes a lot of sacrifices, at hindi lang sa akin ‘yung sacrifices.”

Maging si Coleen ay nagsakripisyo umano at dinala si Amari sa France para masuportahan siya sa kompetisyon.

“Coleen sacrificed. She sacrificed three months na dinala niya ‘yung anak namin, she took care of our son daily for three months and she sacrificed her work for me,” ani Billy.

Ayon kay Billy, hindi itinatago ni Coleen ang saloobin kapag iniisip niyang nang sumuko sa kompetisyon.

“Noong tinanong ko siya na, ‘Love gusto ko nang sumuko, ayoko na, I’m so tired, I’m hurt everywhere, hindi ko na kaya ‘yung stress, ‘yung pagod ko.’ Sabi niya, ‘Yes magagalit ako kung susuko ka, kasi we’re all here for you. So if you don’t work at it and if you don’t do well, it’s on you,’” paglalahad ni Billy.

Nagbunga naman ang mga sakripisyo nina Billy at Coleen nang maging kampeon si Billy sa naturang kompetisyon.

“One, you’ve got the respect. I wasn’t even asking for it. Pero siguro it was just the experience and ‘yung masabi mo na you did something and you worked hard for it. You achieved something, you unlocked something sa buhay mo na some people want to unlock,” sabi ni Billy.

“It’s my dream to join a competition, put my all, no bias or anything, and I tried my heart,” dagdag niya. --FRJ, GMA Integrated News
