Kahit lumaki bilang anak ng mga celebrity na sina Lucy Torres at Richard Gomez, hindi nakikita ni Juliana Gomez na siya ay magiging isang aktres. Dagdag niya, normal lang para sa kaniya na mapanood ang mga magulang sa telebisyon at wala silang pinagkaiba sa mga ordinaryong tao.
Sa "Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel," nilinaw naman ni Juliana na nananatili siyang bukas sa pagpasok sa showbiz, dahil ito ang isa sa mga pinasukang industriya ng kaniyang mga magulang.
"I don't really see myself as an actress, just because I grew up a very shy, little girl. So I never considered it, but it's something that I definitely I won't say no to, like it's an absolute no. Because showbiz has been very good to my parents, my dad especially. That's where he really started and that's where he's been for the most of his life."
Ngunit noong bata pa, hindi raw napagtanto ni Juliana noon na sikat ang kaniyang mga magulang.
“The people that I saw on TV were people that I saw in our house or at the dinner table. Because growing up, my dad was 100 percent in show business. So that was also our world for a while,” anang dalaga.
“I didn’t really get an aha moment or anything like that. It was very natural and I understood right away," dagdag ni Juliana.
Ilan sa mga nakikita ni Juliana na bumibisita sa kanilang bahay sina Anjo Yllana at John Estrada, na close friends ni Richard.
“They’d be in the house and I’d be on the side with my coloring book,” kuwento niya.
Dahil dito, sinabi ni Juliana na hindi niya nakikita noon na espesyal ang mapanood sa telebisyon, at normal lang ang paglabas-labas ng kaniyang mga magulang.
"I grew up with this notion thinking that being on TV wasn't really special. I thought that it was a normal thing, which is why I thought that, you know, everything was normal. There was no difference between a person that was famous and a person that wasn’t.”
Gayunman, hanga si Juliana na napapanood niya ang mga pelikula ng kaniyang ama.
“I’m very proud of the work that my dad has put out in the past. I’ve watched some of his movies and I have great respect for the artistry that, you know, that went down during that period.”
“It’s really nice to see and say, ‘Okay, um, that’s what you look like before. You were a good actor.' It’s nice because I know him as mayor, and both former mayor and congressman."
Samantala, palagi ring sinasamahan ni Juliana ang kaniyang ina sa mga programa nito sa telebisyon.
Proud si Juliana na mga "heartthrob" ang kaniyang mga magulang.
