Ngayong may anak na, nakakaramdam minsan si Max Collins na tila hindi sapat ang ginagawa niyang pag-aalaga kay Baby Skye. Kaya naman payo niya para sa mga first-time moms na tulad niya, huwag masyado i-pressure ang sarili.
Sa “Tunay Na Buhay,” ikinuwento ni Max na apat na buwan matapos manganak, marami nang pagbabago sa baby nila ni Pancho Magno.
“He’s already being interactive. Even when he was two months pa lang, as in you can see him really look at all his toys. And then now lumalabas na ’yung boses niya, nagsasalita siya. Ang saya lang kasi meron na akong kalaro,” sabi ni Max.
Nitong pandemic, nagbago ang desisyon ni Max na sa halip na sa ospital, sa bahay na lang siya manganganak sa pamamagitan ng water birth.
“Nu’ng nag-research ako I found out na it was not as scary pala, I think that’s the misconception that people have. It’s not common kasi,” sabi ni Max.
“It was a great experience, honestly. And I would not have done it kung hindi nagkaroon ng pandemya,” dagdag ng Kapuso actress.
Payo ni Max sa mga kapwa niya first-time moms: “I guess my advice would be not to be so hard on yourself. Kasi as moms, we always feel like, ‘you’re not the best mom.’ You put so much pressure on yourself to be the best mom. So I guess huwag kalimutan ang sarili. You’re still your own person, you’re not just a mom. Be kind to yourself, love yourself.” – Jamil Santos/RC, GMA News
