Ayon sa isang opisyal ng Department of Energy (DOE), maglalaro ang taas-presyo sa gasolina ng P1.25 - P1.50 per liter. Aabot namansa P0.40-P0.60 ang diesel, at P0.60-P0.80 sa kerosene.
Ang pagtaya ay batay sa galaw ng oil trading sa pandaigdigang merkado nitong nakalipas na apat na araw.
“Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, an unexpectedly large withdrawals in the US crude inventories, and optimistic forecasts for summer fuel demand have all contributed to pushing prices in oil products higher,” paliwanag ni Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau Director III Rodela Romero, sa dahilan ng oil price hike.
Inaanunsyo ng oil companies sa bansa ang price adjustments tuwing Lunes, at ipatutupad sa Martes.
