Naglabas ng subpoena ang Quezon City Prosecutors Office nitong Miyerkules laban kay dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kaugnay sa reklamong grave threat na inihain laban sa kaniya ni House Deputy Minority Leader at ACT Teachers party-list Representative France Castro.

Nakasaad sa subpoena na inilabas ni Senior Assistant City Prosecutor Ulric Badiola, inatasan si Duterte na humarap sa piskalya sa December 4 at 11.

“Under and by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Revised Charter of Quezon City and other existing laws, respondent [Duterte] is hereby commanded to appear before the Office of the City Prosecutor, Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma Building (Department of Justice), Elliptical Road, Quezon City,” ayon sa subpoena.

Inaatasan din ang dating pangulo na magsumite ng "affidavit/s of his witnesses and supporting documents" kung mayroon.

“The counter-affidavit, together with the annexes and the affidavits of witness/es, should be in eight copies and should be subscribed and sworn to before me,” dagdag pa sa subpoena.

Una rito, inakusuhan ni Castro si Duterte ng pagbabanta base sa naging panayam sa dating pangulo sa SMNI na nagsasaad na:

"Kayong mga komunista ang gusto kong patayin" at “Sabi ko sa kaniya [kay Vice President Sara Duterte],  magprangka ka na lang. Itong intelligence fund na ito gagamitin ko para sa utak ng mga Pilipino kasi ito ang target ko, kayong mga komunista andiyan sa Congress. Prangkahin mo na 'yan si France Castro."

Ginawa ni Duterte ang pahayag bilang pagdepensa niya sa P650-million confidential funds na hinihingi noon ng Office of the Vice President at P150 million sa Department of Education para sa 2024 budget, na parehong pinamumunuan ni Sara Duterte.

Gayunman, inalis na ang mga confidential fund sa mga civilian agencies na P1.23 bilyon. Inihayag din ng pangalawang pangulo na hindi na siya humiling ng confidential fund.

Inatasan din ng piskalya si Castro at kaniyang mga saksi na patunayan pa ang kanilang alegasyon laban kay Duterte na kanilang isusumite kay Senior Assistant City Prosecutor Badiola.

Paalala ni Badiola, tanging counter-affidavits lang ang tatanggapin ng kaniyang tanggapin at hindi kasama ang mga mosyon na ibasura ang reklamo.

“Otherwise, respondents is/are deemed to have waived the right to present evidence,” nakasaad sa subpoena.

“Furthermore, no postponement will be granted unless for exceptionally meritorious grounds. Wherefore, fail not at your peril,” dagdag pa nito.--FRJ, GMA Integrated News
