Napili ni President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. si outgoing Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III na pamunuan ang Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) sa Taiwan.
Iiwan ni Bello ang DOLE sa June 30, kasabay ng pagtatapos ng termino ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Si Bello ang tanging naging DOLE secretary ni Duterte mula nang maupo ang huli bilang pangulo noong 2016.
Kabilang sa mga dating posisyon na hinawakan ni Bello ay ang pagiging acting secretary ng Department of Justice at Solicitor General noong 1998 sa termino ni dating pangulong Fidel Ramos.
Papalitan ni Bello bilang pinuno ng MECO si Wilfredo "Willy" Fernandez.
Samantala, pananatilihin naman ni Marcos bilang chairman ng Civil Service Commission si dating Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles.
Si Nograles ay kabilang sa mga ad-interim appointees ni Duterte na hindi nakalusot sa Commission on Appointments (CA) nitong unang bahagi ng Hunyo.
Nagpasalamat si Nograles sa tiwala sa kaniya ni Marcos.
"Maraming maraming salamat po for this opportunity to continue our efforts to further professionalize the civil service, not only to make it world-class but, more importantly, to better serve our fellow Filipinos especially during these trying times," sabi ni Nograles sa pahayag.
