Inamin ng broadcaster na si Raffy Tulfo na inalok siya ni presidential aspirant Senator Manny Pacquiao na maging running mate sa Eleksyon 2022. Pero tinanggihan niya ito dahil ayaw niyang may makaaway na mga kaibigan.
"I courteously turned it down. It is too fast [for me to go for that], at hindi ko puwedeng banggain ang Pangulong [Rodrigo] Duterte na kaibigan ko at pati si Senate President Tito Sotto," kuwento ni Tulfo sa panayam ng ANC nitong Lunes.
Si Sotto ay tumatakbong bise presidente katambal si Senador Ping Lacson, na kakandidatong pangulo.
Si House Deputy Speaker Lito Atienza ang naging running-mate ni Pacquiao.
Wala pang pahayag ang kampo ni Pacquiao sa sinabi ni Tulfo.
Pero kabilang si Tulfo sa mga guest senatorial candidate ng tiket ni Pacquiao, gayundin sa tiket nina Lacson at Sotto.
Bagaman ayaw makabanggaan si Duterte, sinabi ni Tulfo na may mga polisiya ang pangulo na hindi siya sang-ayon tulad ng pagkakasara ng ABS-CBN at sa war on drugs nito.
"Of course I support the reopening of ABS-CBN. Why? Around 10,000 people lost their jobs. They have families to take care of, babies to feed, parents who are sick of cancer. Their life stopped [because of the closure]," ani Tulfo.
"In the drug war, definitely it was a failure. He said he will solve it in six months, but it did not happen. Siya mismo nagsabi, hindi ko pala kaya," dagdag niya.
Patuloy ni Tulfo, dapat ay isailalim sa rehabilitasyon ang mga drug user at ang mga big time drug supplier ang dapat na tinutugis.
"If the users are rehabilitated and given another chance, there will be no more demand for the supply. We should be going after suppliers. Ang tinutugis natin dapat, pating, balyena. Puro pipitsugin eh," patuloy niya.
Idinagdag din ni Tulfo na kung may pagkakamali ang pangulo ay dapat itong managot sa mga Filipino, at sa korte ng Pilipinas.
"Dapat 'yung ating Pangulo managot siya sa taumbayan, sa Filipino people, hindi 'yung iilan na husgadong foreigners," patungkol ni Tulfo sa kasong kinakaharap ni Duterte sa International Criminal Court (ICC).
Nilinaw din ni Tulfo na tutol siya na ibalik ang parusang kamatayan.
"I used to be pro-death penalty, but over the years I have seen that this policy is problematic, anti-poor. If you are rich, then you have the money to hire the best lawyers. If you are poor, you will go straight to jail and be slapped with death penalty," aniya. "The system favors the rich who have the resources to pay for lawyers and bribe the police."
