Nadagdagan ang award na napanalunan ni Michelle Dee sa katatapos na Miss Universe pageant.
“With the most votes on the Choicely app, MMD has won the coveted 'Best National Costume' award at the Miss Universe 2023,” saad sa post ng Sparkle GMA Artist Center bilang pagbati kay Michelle.
Sa naturang National Costume competition, nagbigay-pugay si Michelle sa Filipino weaving culture at pagiging miyembro niya ng Air Force Reservist.
Makikita rin sa disenyo ng costume ni Michelle na tila eroplano ang dalawang pasahero na naglalarawan sa dalawa niyang kapatid na nasa autism spectrum, na adbokasiya ng Pinay beauty queen.
Bukod sa National Costume award, nakamit ni Michelle Miss Universe’s fan voting, Spirit of Carnival award, at isa sa tatlong gold medalists sa Voice for Change.
Umabot si Michelle sa Top 10 ng kompetisyon.
