"It's good. It's been an amazing four years," sabi ni Chef Jose sa "Tunay Na Buhay" tungkol sa relasyon niya sa international star.
"Of course I knew who she was, but I don't wanna like, act starstruck. I tried to be cool, relaxed. I didn't join their table too much," sabi ni Jose.
"I was like, 'Wow, who is this macho guy?'" komento naman ni Maria nang una niyang makita si Chef Jose. "Very cute impression."
"Actually this is funny because I was the one who was telling Jose 'In Japan we don't have courting. When we date three times we are like a couple.' I was telling him 'So what are we? Are we dating? Are we friends? What is this courting stuff that you're doing?'" sabi ni Maria.
"So he explained it to me and then... I think after a few months, or less than a year, we decided to become a couple," pagpapatuloy ni Maria.
"I didn't really think that way. I think it worked na I didn't give her that impression. I didn't treat her as Maria Ozawa the international star. I treated her as Maria Ozawa the person, who she really is inside," paliwanag ni Chef Jose.
"I'm kind of used to it because of the industry where I was before. At first I heard that, I really felt sorry for Jose. I guess we kind of like, just slip it aside. If we're happy, then who cares about the other people," sabi ni Maria.
