A 15-year-old student from Pampanga won four medals in an international science competition held in Singapore.

Karl Vincent Agpalo from Minalin, Pampanga, bagged two silver medals in Biology and Chemistry and a bronze in Physics at the StemCo 2025 International Competition, an Olympiad-style contest in Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

"Actually, since elementary po, lumalaban na po ako sa cluster. Since I was a kid, I like watching competitions na po, different athletes, different students that are winning in most competitions. My forte is science, I really like science," Agpalo said.

The competition brought together students from 13 countries, and Agpalo proved that Filipino students could compete on the global stage.

He is currently a student at San Matias National High School.

His coach, Robert Alfaro, is proud in Agpalo's achievement, albeit their first time.

"This is our first time to compete internationally, and because of the support of our school, isa po sa mga students namin ang nanalo sa ganung competition," he said.

"Focus on science talaga, ganun po talaga ang focus ng school," he added.

Agpolo's victory not only brings honor to his school but also serves as an inspiration for young Kapampangans to dream big and excel in their chosen fields.
