Gratitude is the center of GMA Network’s celebration of the Christmas season.

With the theme "Ganito Ang Paskong Pinoy: Puno ng Pasasalamat," the celebration embraces the culture of gratitude that permeates the Filipino household every Christmas as Pinoys give thanks for their faith, family, and friends.

Reflecting on this theme, the essence of ‘Paskong Pinoy,’ students share how they intend to show gratitude for the blessings they have received in 2024.

“To put everything in good and to pay forward to those which also need blessings.” - Zyra Avery F. Garcia, Grade 3, St. Louise De Marillac College of Sorsogon

“This Christmas, I can show gratitude for the blessings I have received in 2024 by sharing my time, resources, and kindness with those in need. Whether through acts of service, gift-giving, or simply expressing appreciation to the people who have made a difference in my life, I aim to spread the spirit of thanksgiving and reflect the generosity that I have been blessed with throughout the year.” - Tyresse Marley D. Tanuco, Grade 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental

“I will show gratitude this Christmas by sharing my blessings with those who have less, spending meaningful time with family and friends, and offering help to those in need.” - Mark Vincent L. Encinas, Grade 11, Naga City School of Arts and Trades

“I show my gratitude by expressing my thanks towards the people who was their with me throughout this year, towards my ups and downs, and for the blessings that I celebrated with them. And by praying, As I'm thankful for the power that God gave me and as he guides me throughout this year.” - Sarah Jane Bongao, 16, Ligao National High School

“I have always been a family-oriented person, and every blessing that I received this year would not be possible without them. The support that I've received from my family, as well as from the friends I’ve made throughout college, holds a very special place in my heart. While it may sound simple and cliché, expressing my love and appreciation for them is my way of showing gratitude. Being a performing arts student has brought out a version of myself that I never knew I was capable of, and for that, I am truly grateful. I really hope that in the future, I can express my gratitude through my works whether it’s in writing or through theater, spreading positivity and inspiring others along the way.” - Ethan Josh Espeño, 19, Bicol University

“This year, I’ve learned that gratitude is at the heart of everything I do. Looking back, I feel incredibly grateful for how much I’ve grown—not just as an artist, but as a person. The lessons learned and the growth I’ve experienced is a testament to the countless people who have believed in me and supported me along the way. In this season of gratitude, the most meaningful way for me to give back is not just through words but through actions. The blessings I have received are not meant to be kept to myself but to be shared with others. As a student leader, I know that the best way I can express my gratitude is by leading through example—by continuing to work hard, by staying true to my passion, and by helping those around me in whatever way I can. I owe it to the people who have supported me to use my talents and my voice to inspire and uplift others. Above all, I am thankful to God for everything I have achieved and for the strength He has given me. This Christmas, my heart is full of gratitude, and I want to honor all the blessings by not just reflecting on them, but by actively sharing them with the world.” - Jaune Jacobs, 21, Bicol University

“This Christmas, I’ll show my gratitude for the blessings I’ve received this year by sharing what I have with others, especially those who may not be as fortunate. It could be as simple as spending time with loved ones, helping someone in need, or even just being kinder to people around me. I also want to take a moment to thank the people who’ve supported me this year and reflect on everything I’ve been blessed with.” – Jeizel Jampac, University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) – Cagayan de Oro

“I would show my gratitude through giving back to the community. Thinking about it, one could never count the blessings a person could reveive in a year. That is why for me, this is the greatest form of showing my gratitude. Not only does this help the communities around me but in a way gives me a sense of fulfillment.” - Tweethaye Lho Abo-abo, USTP – CDO

“This Christmas 2024, I will express my gratitude by sharing my blessings with my family, prioritizing their happiness and well-being. I can’t compare the happiness I feel when I see the wide smiles on my parents' faces. Ganito ang paskong pinoy kasiyahan pamilya ang inuuna,” – May Ann Andoy, USTP – CDO
