An inaugural batch of 40 students are the first enrollees of the first college in Jaen, Nueva Ecija.
The so-called ‘Magic 40’ are enrolled in the two pilot programs, Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship.
Opened on September 9, 2024, the college is named after the late former mayor Santiago 'Santy' Austria.
The Santiago 'Santy' Austria College will be managed by the local government.
Additional support from non-governmental organizations will help equip the school with necessary resources.
The college plans to expand its course offerings in the coming years.
