The dream collab left the crowd screaming for more!
Concertgoers were all struck with awe as Asia’s Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose and P-Pop King’s SB19’s very own Stell showcased their undeniable world-class talents in their first-ever concert together, “Julie X Stell: Ang Ating Tinig,” last July 27 and 28 at the New Frontier Theater.
Made possible through the collaboration of GMA Synergy, GMA Entertainment Group, and 1Z Entertainment, “Julie X Stell: Ang Ating Tinig” drew thousands of fans and OPM lovers, with tickets for both days getting sold out.
On both nights, the jampacked venue lit up and roared with high energy as two of the greatest artists of this generation belted out their original songs and some renditions of popular Pinoy hits from then and now. Through their powerful solo and duet performances, Julie and Stell brought them to a journey - from early crushes, to first heartbreaks, to the highs and lows of love and life.
Julie and Stell expressed their gratitude to all the concertgoers who supported their two-day concert.
“We are truly blessed that we have fans who are always there to support us in every project that we have. At ramdam na ramdam namin ‘yun lalo dito sa “Ang Ating Tinig Concert”. We are so grateful. Personally, hindi ko po mararating kung nasaan ako ngayon kung hindi dahil sa inyong pagmamahal sa akin,” said Julie.
“Taos puso po kaming nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng supporters na naki-soundtrip sa amin ni Julie sa aming concert. Two days pong sold out ang “Ating Tinig” kaya we are really hoping na napasaya namin kayo through our surprises and performances na talaga namang pinaghandaan namin. Mabuhay ang OPM!,” shared Stell.
Last July 27, the first night of the concert brought extra kilig as Kapuso Total Heartthrob Rayver Cruz joined Julie on stage for a very sweet and heartwarming number. Julie and Stell surprised the crowd as they officially announced the newest addition to the coaches of The Voice Kids – songwriter, producer, and SB19’s leader, Pablo.
Day two was equally special and astounding as SB19’s Josh Cullen fired up the concert stage with his powerful performance. The crowd went wild when Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano joined in and showed off his timeless vocal talent and amazing dance moves.
Fans had the chance to meet Julie and Stell at the meet-and-greet right after the concert on both days.
“Julie X Stell: Ang Ating Tinig” also organized a donation drive to help provide relief to those affected by Super Typhoon Carina. This initiative was made possible through the joint efforts of GMA Kapuso Foundation and A’TIN.
“This weekend was for all the dreamers and believers. Congratulations, Julie and Stell! We are so proud of you! The journey of GMA Synergy, together with GMA Entertainment Group and 1Z Entertainment, wasn’t an easy feat, but we never doubted the success of this project because of the two amazing artists that we have. Sending our gratitude as well to everyone, especially the fans and supporters of Julie and Stell, who shared their blessings to all the victims of Super Typhoon Carina through the donation drive, in coordination with the GMA Kapuso Foundation, during the two-day concert,” shared Senior Vice President and Head of GMA Integrated News, Regional TV, and Synergy Oliver Victor B. Amoroso.
“Ang Ating Tinig” not only meant the variety of songs through genres and generations. It also reflected the diversity of the background and expertise of everyone who worked on the show. And to them, we are truly grateful. We would also like to give our heartfelt gratitude to our guests who shared their time and talent – Rayver Cruz, SB 19’s Josh and Pablo, and Gary Valenciano. Their collaboration with Julie and Stell truly helped us achieve our goal of celebrating the best of Filipino artists and of OPM. We look forward to more successful partnerships with 1Z Entertainment,” said Consultant for GMA Entertainment Group, Darling de Jesus-Bodegon.
“We are immensely proud of Stell's exceptional performances during the two-day sold-out concerts, and we also have witnessed Julie's remarkable presence, both on and off the stage. She is indeed a limitless star! Together with Pablo, Josh, Gary V and Rayver Cruz, this event was truly a success!
We extend our heartfelt thanks to GMA for their generous support throughout this project. Working alongside GMA was not only efficient but also a lot of fun, making the entire experience even more enriching. As we reflect on this successful collaboration, we look forward to continuing our efforts in uplifting OPM in the industry. Mabuhay ang OPM! Together, let's strive to further enhance the music scene and create more memorable moments for our audiences. Thank you to everyone who attended for contributing to the success of these concerts”, according to 1Z Entertainment’s Chief Operating Officer Julian De Dios.
