Homegrown Filipino footballer Pocholo Bugas, a native of Nabunturan, Davao de Oro, is set to play for Angkor Tiger FC in the 2023-24 season of the Cambodian Premier League.
Bugas will suit up as an ASEAN quota player for Angkor and will try to link-up with other foreign players in English defender Ben Nugent and attacking midfielder Trey Williams, and Spanish midfielder Victor Blasco.
The 21 years old winger already has five caps for the Philippine national football team and previously played for the Azkals Development Team and the United City FC (UCFC) in the Philippines Football League, where he was able to win two Copa Paulino Alcantara trophies and a league title.
In his tenure with the UCFC, who play their home matches in Capas, Tarlac, he was able to square up against Asian powerhouses such as Kawasaki Frontale, Jeonnam Dragons, and Jeonbuk FC in the AFC Champions League for two seasons.
