Breaking 100, the dream of every golfer, may just get a little easier in Cebu. And there are no caddies or sunscreen required - just finesse, fairway vibes, and zero rain in sight.
With high-tech simulators and a premium lounge setup, the newly opened Break 100 sports lounge in Cebu City promises to make golf more accessible, fun, and inclusive.
A FRESH SWING
Located at The Mall at NUSTAR, Break 100 off
From state-of-the-art equipment to AI-driven golf coaching, the facility introduces a whole new way to play.
Patricia Paulo, president of Break 100, explained the origin of its name:
“Breaking 100 is actually the goal of every beginner golfer. When you break 100, it’s like saying, ‘I’m comfortable; I’m enjoying the game,’ and it’s a milestone that makes you feel like a true golfer,” she said.
For beginners, Break 100 offers a safe, welcoming space to explore golf.
With an in-house coach and user-friendly tech like the Full Swing Pro Series 2.0, even those new to the sport can dive right in.
“The same Full Swing setup that Tiger Woods has in his home is available here,” Paulo added.
SETTING THE STANDARD
Break 100 boasts of several Philippine firsts including:
- Full Swing Pro Series 2.0: Tracks ball flight with precision, and players real-time feedback.
- TruGolf Apogee: Responds to voice commands, like a personal assistant for every golf game.
- Uneekor IXO: Features AI that scores the player’s swing and provides tips for improvement.
- WellPot Big Tilt: A dynamic putting platform that mimics real-world slopes.
Christopher Holden, Break 100’s ambassador and resident tech expert, highlighted the facility's focus on accessibility:
“The simulators give instant feedback. Whether you’re a pro or a beginner, you can see exactly what went wrong or right with every shot. It’s like having a coach at your side, but more affordable and always available,” he said.
BEYOND THE GREEN
The venue isn’t only about improving one’s game. It’s about creating an environment where golf blends seamlessly with leisure.
“Golf is not just about playing; it’s also about enjoying good company, food, and drinks,” Paulo said.
The simulators aren’t limited to golf.
They offer games like zombie dodgeball, football, and even ice hockey, making it a family-friendly destination.
“You can play football on it, you can play some zombie dodgeball, which is the kids' favorite, they love playing that game,” Holden said.
CHILL AND PLAY
Break 100’s indoor setup addresses common deterrents to the sport: intense heat, rain, and the time-consuming nature of outdoor golf.
“The difference, I would say, is having this air-conditioned, well-lit, relaxing place wherein you would enjoy and want to stay longer,” Paulo said.
“We’re bringing the tech side of golf to Cebu, a city known for its beautiful courses but lacking in high-tech indoor venues. It’s about breaking barriers and inviting more people to try the sport,” Holden added.
The facility is expected to boost Cebu’s tourism and economy, offering locals and visitors a unique leisure activity.
