Sparkle artist Skye Chua, a student of the University of the Philippines, will represent the Philippines in the 2025 FISU Winter World University Games in Turin, Italy, says a report by GMA Integrated News.
Chua will be the school’s first Winter Universiade competitor and the country's flag bearer.
A national figure skater, Skye competed previously at the SEA Open Figure Skating Trophy in July 2024 where she placed third.
As an actress, Skye has appeared in the GMA Prime series "Pulang Araw" as Japanese character Yuki.
She also appeared in the figure skating series "Hearts on Ice" that starred Ashley Ortega and Xian Lim.
