The National Collegiate Athletic Association is set for a banger return in 2025 when games in the league's historic Siglo Uno: Inspiring Legacies-themed Season 100 soon resume action.

The country’s longest-running collegiate sports organization opened its centennial festivities with the hotly anticipated men’s basketball tournament, which concluded last December with a 33-year-drought-ending Mapúa championship.

Aside from senior’s hoops, the NCAA also wrapped up its taekwondo, swimming, chess, badminton, and table tennis games all in 2024.

Halfway through the season, the NCAA now braces for a promising lineup of events slated in the coming months, headlined by the men’s and women’s volleyball, the junior’s basketball tournament, and the cheerleading competition.

In Season 99, it was the Louie Ramirez-led Perpetual Altas that took home the men’s volley gold medal for their fourth consecutive time; while the Benilde Lady Blazers, steered by MVP setter Cloanne Mondonedo, obliterated all competition in the women’s division.

The Altas and the Lady Blazers will definitely be the rightful barometers in their respective events in the upcoming centennial games.

Junior’s basketball, meanwhile, will see the Letran Squires gun for an elusive three-peat after clinching their second straight title last year at the expense of the Perpetual Junior Altas.

The cheerleading competition is also expected to be even more fiery and exciting as all contenders vie to dethrone the Arellano University Chiefsquad– the league's five-time defending champion.
