West Visayas State University in Iloilo City topped the medal haul on the second day of the 2024 Regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (RSCUAA) Sports Festival on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.

WVSU took the top spot for clinching eight gold medals, 10 silvers, and 2 bronzes or a total of 20 medals.

Carlos Hilado Memorial State University in Talisay City, Negros Occidental took second spot for snaring four golds, five silvers, and 7 bronze medals, while the University of the Philippines Visayas in Miagao town, Province of Iloilo settled on third spot for its harvest of four golds.

Participants come from 13 state colleges and universities in Western Visayas. 

“The current medal tally posted here is based on the officially submitted, verified, and tabulated results as of Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. Any medals that are accumulated and officially submitted after this deadline will be included in the medal tally announcement scheduled for 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024,” Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology, the host of the event, said in a post.
