Part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) celebration of its historic centennial season is a special segment aims to recognize 10 NCAA athletes who have excelled and made their mark in their respective fields.

Lyceum of the Philippines University's CJ Perez
CJ Perez is a Gilas Pilipinas ace and a bemedaled hooper whose résumé needs no further introduction.

During his final year as an LPU Pirate, CJ led his team to an 18-game elimination round sweep. His accomplishments in the NCAA were followed by feats as a professional player and a national team member, including a PBA Most Valuable Player, a PBA Rookie of the Year, and a recent stint with the Gilas Pilipinas that won over the world's sixth-ranked Latvia.

San Beda University's Baser Amer
Baser Amer is a professional basketball player and former Gilas Pilipinas standout whose hoops career began and flourished as a Bedan student-athlete. A 4-peat champion and a Finals MVP in the NCAA, Baser was part of the gold medal-winning national team in the 2015 and 2017 Southeast Asian Games.

Present to receive Baser’s award was the Red Lions team captain Yukien Andrada.

Jose Rizal University's Mark Harry Diones
Mark Harry Diones is a multi-titled triple jumper and a proud alumni of Jose Rizal University. He was adjudged the overall track-and-field champion during NCAA Season 90. His stellar collegiate career featured a quadruple gold haul in a single season.

Still the current national record holder in triple-jump, Mark is also internationally renowned, having won multiple medals at the Asian Athletics Championship, and the Southeast Asian Games.

Colegio de San Juan de Letran's RJ Jazul
RJ Jazul is a well-known marksman and shooter in professional basketball— a reputation he’s had since his glory days as a Letran Knight.

RJ has since won a PBA title and was recognized as "Mr Quality Minutes" during the 2020 PBA Season.

Mapua Cardinals' Adrian Nocum
Adrian Clarence Nocum’s three-year stint as a Mapua Cardinal may have been short-lived, but his excellent style of play has always impressed sports aficionados!

After a trip to the NCAA finals with the Cardinals in Season 97 where he was the league's second leading scorer, Adrian turned pro and is currently making a name for himself as one of the rising stars in Philippine basketball.

San Sebastian College-Recoletos' Allyn Bulanadi
Allyn Bulanadi was once a scoring machine in the NCAA and the Golden Stags’ on-court leader during his collegiate career.

He was named to the NCAA Mythical Five Selection during his last season with the Stags. The ace player has since become one of the marquee players in the professional ranks and was one of the young cadets chosen to be part of the Gilas program.

University of Perpetual Help System Dalta's Louie Ramirez
At 24, Louie Ramirez is already an NCAA legend and a volleyball icon after an unparalleled career that featured four straight championships with the Perpetual Altas, two season MVPs, and a finals MVP.

The Pangasinan pride is currently a pro player and a key member of the Alas Pilipinas men’s national volleyball squad.

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde's Ryan Jacolo
Ryan Jacolo is a table tennis ace for the Taft-based squad whose five-year NCAA career was marked by five straight Most Valuable Player awards.

A SEA Games national athlete in 2015, his leadership as the Benilde Paddlers’ team captain produced an impressive five-year championship streak!

Arellano University's Regine Arocha
Regine Arocha was the best outside hitter during her time as an Arellano Lady Chief, leading her squad to three consecutive championships from 2017 to 2019.

Regine, now a professional volleyball player, won two NCAA Finals MVPs for two straight years as the leader of the Lady Chiefs.

Emilio Aguinaldo College's Sidney Onwubere
Sidney Onwubere started his basketball career as an NCAA juniors standout for the Emilio Aguinaldo College. He went on to become a full-fledged NCAA cager and was part of the Mythical Selection in Season 93.

Sidney, now a pro hooper in the PBA, also represented the Philippines at the 2016 FIBA 3x3 All-Stars in Doha, Qatar.

Gracing the awarding ceremony to award the 10 notable NCAA athletes were Senator Sonny Angara of the Department of Education, and Atty. Roberto P. Laurel of the host school Lyceum of the Philippines University.
