About 300 athletes, coaches, and trainers from Naga City were recognized for their achievements in Palarong Bicol 2024.
Gold medalists received P5,000, silver medalists received P3,000, and bronze medalists received P1,500.
A total of P1.6 million was allocated for the incentives.
The city also gave a send-off to over 100 athletes and coaches who will represent the region in the upcoming Palarong Pambansa this July 2024.
Participants were reminded to stay focused on training to prevent incidents like those in the Palarong Bicol 2024.
“During the training, pirmi ming tigre-remind ang coaches, ang mga aki na paorogon man giraray ang patience, ang disiplina,” Renz Chavez, Division Sports Officer of the Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division Office (SDO) Naga City, said.
