A slew of GMA Network programs and news content were recognized at the recently concluded 46th Catholic Mass Media Awards, including two GMA News Online reports and a special citation for GMA Regional TV.
One Mindanao, GMA Network’s official Mindanao newscast through its regional arm GMA Regional TV, was given a special citation in the Best News Program Category.
Sarah Hilomen-Velasco, Cyril Chaves, and Efren Mamac currently serve as the anchors of the regional newscast which airs Monday to Friday at 5:10 in the afternoon.
GMA News Online’s “A Constitution named Freedom: The Interim Charter under Cory Aquino” Llanesca Panti and Hana Bordey; and “Wombs for Rent” by by Marco Romas, DigiDokyu, and Jessica Bartolome, won Best News Coverage and Best Investigative Report, respectively.

- Best Business News – DZBB Super Serbisyo, Trabaho at Negosyo, Super Radyo DZBB 594 KHZ
The CMMA is organized by the Archdiocese of Manila, and is given to entries coming from radio, press, advertising, television or film.
