Authorities have arrested one suspect in the robbery at a mall in Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental as of January 2, 2024.
The suspect is now under the custody of the Ozamiz Police Station as manhunt for the other suspects is launched.
The suspects stole from two jewelry shops inside the mall and opened an automated teller machine (ATM) forcibly.
The money and valuables stolen are worth an estimated P47 million.
Investigators said the suspects may have accessed the establishment by digging a hole at a drainage nearby leading to the food court inside the mall.
As pursuit of the other suspects continues, the police established checkpoints and urged those who have knowledge of the incident to come forward.
