Coast Guard Iloilo Station recorded around 70,000 outbound passengers and 58,000 inbound passengers at the piers and ports of Iloilo from December 15 to 24, 2023.
The highest number of passengers was recorded in Parola wharf which caters to the Iloilo-Guimaras and vice-versa route which reached some 52,000 (21,000 of which were inbound passengers while 31,000 were outbound passengers).
Dumangas port, which caters to the Iloilo-Negros route, came in second with over 48,000 (around 22,000 of which were inbound passengers while over 26,000 were outbound passengers).
Coast Guard Iloilo Station underscored that the most number of passengers was recorded on December 24, 2023 since December 15, 2023. The passenger count on the said date reached 20,000.
