The pre-hearing conference between the Camilon family and Police Major Allan De Castro, the primary suspect and alleged acquaintance of the missing teacher and beauty pageant contestant, Catherine Camilon, began at 9 a.m. on November 22, 2023.

The conference, initiated to facilitate discussions on the administrative case filed by the Regional Internal Affairs Service 4A against De Castro, revealed a more serious administrative charge.

"Itong admin proceeding na ito ay basically nire-resolve ito within 30 days, so substantial evidence lang ang hinahanap dito. It is classified as (a) grave offense dito sa aming procedure. If you will be proven guilty for violation of this Conduct Unbecoming of A Police Officer, 60 days to 6 months suspension, minimum penalty 'yan, one rank demotion medium 'yan, and, of course, 'yung maximum is dismissal from the police service," said PCol. Jacinto Malinao Jr., Regional Chief of CIDG RFU 4A.

CIDG 4A remains hopeful about locating Jeffrey Magpantay, De Castro's driver-bodyguard, identified by witnesses overseeing the transfer of Catherine Camilon's bloodied body from her vehicle to a red SUV.

The Regional Chief of CIDG 4A has assured the Camilon family of a swift resolution to the case. However, they await official documents from Camp Crame containing the results of the DNA profile matching conducted on Catherine's mother and the hair strands and blood samples recovered from the red SUV.

"We welcome the development, but as the lead investigating unit sa kasong ito, we are yet to receive the official document declaring nagkaroon ng match sa DNA samples na ibinigay ng Camilon Family. Two weeks minimum 'yung itatagal ng examination but considering very technical, lalong lalo na doon sa sampling sa blood samples… we are still awaiting for the official document," Malinao added.

Police Major Allan De Castro was relieved from his post on October 23, 2023. On November 13, CIDG 4-A filed criminal charges against him and three others in connection to Camilon's disappearance.
