The DNA profiles of the parents of the missing beauty pageant contestant Catherine Camilon matched with the hair strands and blood samples recovered from the SUV abandoned in  Barangay Dumuclay, Batangas City, the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) said.

The red SUV was found on November 8, 2023.

"Yung mga witness natin ay di nagsisinungaling. There is a corroborative evidence na talagang nakita nilang babae na binubuhat ng mga suspect natin ay certainly si Ms. Camilon. Mas bumigat yung kaso na sinampa natin doon sa mga suspect dahil nag nagtutugma mga sinabi ng mga suspect natin," said PMGen. Romeo Caramat, Jr., PNP-CIDG Director.

GMA Regional TV, Balitang Southern Tagalog visited the Camilon family's residence but the family declined an interview.

Authorities continue to gather additional evidence against the suspects.

"Our PNP forensic chemists are trying to examine para makapag-lift ng finger prints para i-match dun sa mga nasampahan natin mga suspects," added Caramat.

Police Major Allan de Castro, along with three others, has been charged with kidnapping and serious illegal detention. Meanwhile, Camilon and her vehicle remain missing.

The family still holds hope that after nearly two months of searching, Camilon will be found alive and safe.
