More than 100 families were affected by flooding in Mabini, Davao de Oro.

According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, Davao de Oro Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) Division Head for Operations and Warning, Allen Baco, said the flooding began afternoon on Monday, April 14, 2025, following heavy rains and subsided in the evening.

Nearly 90 families were affected in Barangay Pindasan while more than 50 families were affected in Barangay Libudon.

Authorities said the high tide and the river that overflowed caused the flooding that reached more than knee-deep.

PDRRMO mobilized their teams to conduct rescue operations in the affected areas, particularly for resident living near the river and coastline.

Clearing operations were also conducted on roads covered with debris.

State weather bureau PAGASA said the bad weather was due to the easterlies.
