Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island emitted ash at 11:52 a.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), Kanlaon Volcano has been generating voluminous ash plumes as tall as 800 meters from the summit crater late morning on April 14, 2025.
As of this posting, ash is being drifted west-northwest of the volcano.
Residents of La Carlota City and Bago City in the Province of Negros Occidental, and other nearby towns in Negros Island should expect ashfall, PHIVOLCS said.
Alert Level 3 (intensified unrest/magmatic unrest) prevails over Kanlaon Volcano.
