At least 33 volcanic earthquakes were recorded on Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) in a 24-hour observation period at 12 a.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025.

Sulfur dioxide flux emitted by the volcano is recorded at 1,931 tons, as of April 13, 2025 that generated 100-meter-tall moderate plume which drifted southwest and west.

The volcano edifice is inflated, PHIVOLCS added.

Alert Level 3 remains at Kanlaon Volcano, which means “intensified unrest or magmatic unrest.”
