The driver of a van died while his companion was injured when their vehicle crashed into two other vehicles on the national highway in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur.
Police said the two other vehicles were a dump truck and a utility vehicle.
Investigation disclosed that the van was heading to the direction of Davao City. The utility vehicle was tailing the dump truck to the direction of Digos City.
Upon reaching the place of the incident, the van driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle when he tried to overtake another vehicle. The van reportedly veered toward the opposite lane and crashed into the dump truck and utility vehicle.
The van driver died in the hospital.
Investigation into the incident continues.
