Ongoing ash emission at Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island has been generating voluminous ash plumes as tall as 1,500 meters from the summit crater.
The ash emission began at 3:24 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025.
Ash drifted west of the volcano.
Residents of La Carlota City, Bago City, and other nearby towns in the Province of Negros Occidental should expect ashfall, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
Alert Level 3 (intensified unrest/magmatic unrest) prevails over Kanlaon Volcano, PHIVOLCS added.
