A confidential informant relayed exclusively to GMA Regional TV One Western Visayas that the suspect in the transport of over P800-million illegal drugs came home in Pavia town, Province of Iloilo prior to his arrest in Oriental Mindoro.

According to alias “Joy,” the suspect identified as Christopher Malco comes home frequently to his residence in Barangay Balabag, Pavia, contrary to statements made by members of his family that he was last seen at home in June 2024.

“Dito sya nananatili. Umuuwi sya, nawawala, bumabalik rin kaagad. Noong nakaraang linggo lang nandito pa sya,” the informant said.

To recall, Malco was apprehended at Calapan City port in the Province of Oriental Mindoro on March 21, 2025 for P816 million illegal drugs kept in the car he was driving.

Malco was arrested during an operation of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Philippine Coast Guard in Mimaropa Region [Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan].

The informant added that Malco’s family is privy to his illegal activities.

“Sa palagay ko alam nila. Siyempre, asawa mo yan,” alias “Joy” said.

Malco and his common-law wife are not among persons in the BADAC list of Barangay Balabag. BADAC stands for Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council.

However, Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) Director, Colonel Bayani Razalan said that while Malco is not among individuals monitored by their office, his domestic partner alias “Maymay” is.

“May na-monitor tayo years before. Pero ang na-monitor is yung live-in partner niya,” Razalan said.

When sought for comment, the couple’s eldest child did not grant an on-camera interview but said that what Razalan disclosed about their mother is not true.
