A 33-year-old hunter died after allegedly falling off a cliff in Mt. Bumandera, Nueva Era, Ilocos Norte.
Authorities identified him as Gringo Barid who went hunting with two companions.
According to Barid’s companions, Barid fell accidentally while chasing a deer.
He was reportedly holding a 12-gauge shotgun, which went off and hit him in the chest.
Police said the victim suffered from two gunshot wounds.
However, Barid’s wife questioned the companions' statements and requested an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
