A couple riding a motorcycle died after the vehicle they were riding collided with a sports utility vehicle (SUV) in Barangay Bungcag, Dingras, Ilocos Norte.
According to police, the SUV hit the back of a kulong-kulong (a variant of a tricycle), causing the driver to lose control and swerve to the opposite lane—just as the victims on a motorcycle were passing by.
The motorcycle riders died on the spot, while the kulong-kulong driver and three passengers sustained injuries.
The SUV driver, who was unharmed, is now in police custody as investigation continues.
